The Taipei Marathon sets an entry cap of 9,000 participants for its full marathon category, attracting a strong and ever-improving field each year. Race statistics highlight the remarkable progress among runners: in 2021, 272 runners completed the marathon in under 3 hours, and 2,692 finished under 4 hours. In 2022, these numbers rose to 417 and 3,749, respectively. The upward trend continued in 2023, with 439 sub-3-hour finishers and 4,135 finishing in under 4 hours—representing nearly half of all participants.
Similarly, performance in the half marathon category improved, with the number of runners finishing in under 100 minutes climbing from 581 in 2021 to 979 in 2023. These achievements reflect not only the resilience and dedication of Taipei’s running community post-pandemic but also the continual enhancements made to the event itself. Improvements to the race course, on-course support, traffic management, and community engagement have all contributed to a better experience for participants.
As the highest-ranked marathon and road race in Taiwan, now holding the prestigious Gold Label certification, the Taipei Marathon is poised to attract even more elite and international competitors. The event has truly become a “final exam” for runners, where the standard rises each year and the competition grows ever fiercer.

Can someone collect my race pack for me?
No. Bib collection must be done in person, a valid passport is required for verification.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Entry fees are non-refundable. It is not possible to transfer to another participant or to defer your rentry.
Start Waves & Groups
Participants will be assigned to start corrals based on their verified finishing times: Corral A：Full Marathon: Sub-3:00:00 Half Marathon: Sub-1:30:00 Corral B：Full Marathon: 3:00:00 – 3:30:00 Half Marathon: 1:30:00 – 2:00:00 Runners who do not submit qualifying results or do not meet the above standards will be assigned to Corral C. All qualifying results must be achieved in 2025 or 2026 at road races officially certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races or World Athletics, including events holding Platinum, Gold, Elite, or Label status.
