Join Podbrdo Trail Running Festival 2026
Across from the Bohinj hills there is the Baška grapa valley, where lies a small village Podbrdo. In this very village the first mountain run in Slovenia took place in 1970. The surrounding Alpine mountains and the Škofja Loka hills make an excellent combination of high mountain trails and hilly fields which provide for the most attractive tracks.
Course details
The 100-kilometer challenge is for experienced trail runners, as it offers you the enjoyment of unspoilt nature on the ridges of 5 municipalities: Tolmin, Bohinj, Cerkno, Gorenja vas – Poljane and Železniki. On this wonderful route, you will conquered five peaks: Sedlo pod Črna prstja, Porezen, Blegoš, Ratitovec and Lajnar. All of the hard work and effort will be rewarded by attractive views of the Julian Alps, Karavanke, Prealpine hills.
UTP 70+ km
The 70-kilometer route will spare you the hard ascent through Durnik and ascent from Kopačnica to Blegoš. But insted it will offer you an unforgettable pleasure in unspoilt nature on the ridges of 5 municipalities: Tolmin, Bohinj, Cerkno, Gorenja vas - Poljane and Železniki. On this trail, you will conquer Porezen, Blegoš, Ratitovec and Lajnar and enjoy amazing views from the Julian Alps, Karavank, all the way to the sea.
GM4O 40+ km
The 42-kilometer trail run is a unique challenge that no runner should miss. This is the first true Slovenian mountain marathon, which offers you fantastic views from Triglav to the seaside. The marathon consists of three larger ascents, the first one to Kobla, the second one to saddle Suha, below Črna prst, and the third one up over very steep Durnik to Porezen. At Porezen, your eyes can get a little bit misty, because you can see the entire lap you have already completed. The mountain marathon is a real experience for all of you who wanna become a real Slovenian »kerlc«. You can only go on this journey well prepared and well dressed, because there are 18 refreshment stations waiting for you on the route, which are staffed by volunteers with a big heart and everything you need.
GT 20+ km
The 20-kilometer challenge is ment for anyone who has ever embarked on trail adventures that required a little more effort. It contains two ascents, the first will take you to Kobla, and the second to saddle Suha, under Črna prst. Trust us, you won't regret it. These two climbs will reward you with a fantastic view. Right in front of you you will see Triglav, as well as sea side in the distance. The Graparski Trail, with its more than 20 kilometers of diverse and scenic terrain, offers an unforgettable experience even for younger runners! All those aged 16 and above are warmly invited to take on the challenge, accompanied by an adult. With the support of an experienced companion, you’ll safely conquer steep climbs, enjoy breathtaking views, and feel the true spirit of trail running.
RT 10+ km
The 10-kilometer challenge is open to everyone - well, to anyone with at least some running experience and strong will. It contains one ascent, to the military barracks on Robarjev grič. The Rapallo trail takes you past and through the war bunkers and barracks that defended the the Rapallo border during the war. The route is full of historical buildings, so you will not be bored.

Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
You can change your selected course under the following conditions: • From a longer to a shorter course: the price difference is not refunded • From a shorter to a longer course: you must pay the difference up to the current full price Changes can be made until registration closes. If you wish to switch to a different course on race day, this is possible, but you must first collect your race pack and then go to the info point to exchange your race number. Race day course change conditions: • From a longer to a shorter course: the price difference is not refunded • From a shorter to a longer course: you must pay the difference up to the full price
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
In case of cancellation of the competition due to force majeure (epidemic or bad weather), we offer two options:: • Transfer of the entire entry fee to the next year • Refund of 60% registration fee and 20% discount on registration in the next year In case of cancelation of competitors because of injury or infection (with medical certificate): • Transfer of the entire entry fee to the different person (possible until the registration closes or on the day of the event) • A voucher in the amount of the paid entry fee for the following year (it will no longer be possible to transfer the entry fee in the following year). Cancellation of the entry with a medical certificate is only possible before the start of the event to which the cancellation refers! In other cases, the entry fee is not refundable.

Can I transfer my registration to another runner?
Transfer of the entry fee to another participant or to the following year for other reasons is only possible until the registration closes and requires an additional administrative fee of €10.
