The Minya Konka Trail returns to Kangding, Sichuan. First launched in 2015, this iconic race quickly became one of the world’s most challenging and scenic high-altitude trail events, featuring a 100km course around Mount Gongga—the “King of Mountains in Sichuan”—with views of peaks over 7,000 meters. Recognized in 2017 as one of China’s first National Premium Sports Tourism Events, it drew global attention before pausing after 2019. Its revival marks a new chapter, with enhanced safety standards and a strong focus on ecological sustainability, while promoting the integration of sport, tourism, and local community development in western China.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
You’re entitled to an 80% refund of your registration fee if you apply before midnight on May 10. Refunds are no longer available from May 11 onwards.
Is medical certificate required?
Participants registering for the competition must submit a health certificate. This should be a paper or electronic medical examination report issued by a hospital or a professional medical examination institution within the past year. The report should include at least an electrocardiogram.
