Maratona del Presidente

Franco Agosto Urban Park has been the new location of the President's Marathon since 2018. A whole other thing from the narrow Buscherini swampy and full of roots, this Park, as they say, is a great friend ready to welcome us in its wide embrace. Cool and breezy on summer days, suggestive and poetic in the harsh winter, it extends over a large area that, with its twenty-six hectares, surrounds the city from the ancient walls to the more recent outskirts. Caressed by the Montone river, with many benches to take a break along its avenues, the Park offers an environmental scenario full of trees and plants including the "English oak", the downy oak, the black poplar and the white poplar, hawthorn, roses and dogwood. It is possible to get to the Park from Piazza Saffi by taking a fun tourist train, or by bicycle following the cycle path that, from the center, leads directly to the green heart of the city, but there is no shortage of car parks for those who need to arrive comfortably. In the large green space, fans will find five-a-side football, volleyball, basketball, beach volleyball and bowls fields to indulge in their favorite sports. For the little ones, games and bouncy castles guarantee true recreation in the midst of nature.
But the Park is much more: the pond with swans and ducks that swim, moorhens, exotic tortoises, green frogs and rabbits chasing each other in the grass, the life path to keep fit, the cultural areas and refreshment points. Admiring the sculptures that enrich the green sea of ​​Forlì, it is pleasant to take the opportunity for a snack: at the La Collina dei Conigli snack bar, at the Chiosco Bar and Gelateria, at the La Piada del Parco refreshment point, and finally at the Peter Pan pizza restaurant. where we will hold Dinner and Pasta Party.
