Maraton De Santiago takes place in Chile, Santiago. It is Chile’s largest national sports event. The event includes marathon, half marathon and 10k races. The marathon is part of AIMS, and certified by IAAF. The number of participants is increasing year by year and includes not only Chileans but also runners travelling from abroad. Santiago Marathon has established itself as the largest marathon in the region.
Distances Marathon (42,195 meters) and Half Marathon (21,098 meters) have been measured and certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations ( “IAAF”). The event has been accepted also in the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races ( “AIMS”) and incorporated into its calendar of sporting events.
