Join Koh Chang Tai Charity Trail
Koh Chang Tai Charity Trail is a raw trail running event that takes athletes from coastal terrain deep into the mountains of southern Koh Chang. The courses move through jungle paths, rocky climbs, river crossings, waterfalls, and local villages, offering a constant change of rhythm and surface. Designed to welcome different race formats for all levels, the event balances accessibility with real trail challenge. The atmosphere is grounded and honest, shaped by nature, volunteers, and the local community rather than spectacle. Every route is built to test endurance, control, and focus, with the landscape itself setting the tone from start to finish.
Course details
Please take this crucial advice to heart: You must fill your hydration pack to its full 2-liter capacity as per the mandatory gear rules. The next checkpoint is a grueling 11.7 kilometers away! Prepare yourself for the epic twin-peak climb that lies ahead.
🌅 Khao Laem Peak (680m Elevation):
Your effort will be rewarded at the stunning 360-degree viewpoint. Witness the day's first light breaking over a sea of morning mist, embracing Salak Phet Bay, the cerulean ocean, and surrounding islands. With a bit of luck, the powerful wingbeats of wild Great Hornbills echoing through the valley will create a memory you will cherish forever.
🌳 Khao Yai Peak (743m Elevation):
Conquer the "King of Koh Chang," a peak blanketed in pristine, lush rainforest. Take a deep breath of pure ozone before diving into an epic downhill stretch, trailing alongside the Khlong Kloi waterfall stream.
🍉 CP3: Si Tho Waterfall (Km 15.0):
An oasis awaits! Refuel with a feast of savory dishes, sweet treats, fresh fruits, and ice-cold beverages. While we do have a "DNF Boat" on standby here, I know the fighter’s spirit in you will choose to press forward!
🌊 The Unseen "Lost Horizon" - Ao Khok Khwai (Buffalo Pen Bay): Leaving CP3, you will step into our hidden gem. This secluded, enchanting bay feels like a scene from an ancient myth. The beach is adorned with hundreds of thousands of smooth, wave-polished stones, contrasting beautifully with a freshwater stream and an island-studded backdrop.
🥥 CP4: Wai Chaek Beach (Km 22.6):
A breathtakingly beautiful beach that presents a brilliant mental and physical challenge: the incredibly soft sand will drain your leg strength to the max! Recharge with fresh coconut water and ample provisions before conquering the remaining rainforest trails and old concrete paths.
🧊 WS3: Rong Than Fort (Km 27.2):
Your final stop for ice-cold water. Quench your thirst and cool down before you gather your strength for the final push. Those final strides on the paved road will lead you straight to the finish line at Wat Salak Phet School.
