Balkaniada returns for another edition, continuing to build its reputation as one of the premier mountain running events in the Balkans. Following the positive feedback and strong participation from athletes, volunteers, and partners in previous years, the event is set to welcome over a thousand runners to Central Balkan National Park. Participants will tackle four distinct challenges, catering to a range of abilities and interests. The Vertical Kilometer (VK) offers a demanding uphill route for those seeking a test of endurance against gravity. For runners looking for a shorter adventure, the Balkaniada 12K features an accessible yet exciting course. The Balkaniada Sky 27K provides a balanced mid-distance challenge, blending diverse terrain with spectacular scenery. The signature Balkaniada Classic 44K takes competitors along the park’s main ridge, highlighting the beauty and ruggedness of the region. Balkaniada delivers a vibrant atmosphere, exceptional organization, and iconic routes, offering an unforgettable mountain running experience where nature’s wildness and beauty converge.
