ATW Holdenby House - Trail & Canicross

Discover the Holdenby House Trail & Canicross set within the 2,000-acre Holdenby Estate in Northamptonshire. Run past a grand 16th-century house that was a palace to King James I and later a prison to King Charles I after the Civil War. Now a private family home, the estate opens for this traffic-free 5.4 km route across estate trails and surrounding farmland, with sweeping views of the country house and a memorable finish beneath the iconic arches. Choose your distance: 5K completes one lap, 10K two laps, and the Half Marathon four laps. A dedicated 5K Canicross sets off shortly before the main race; dogs must wear a suitable running harness attached to a bungee line and waist belt, with no leads clipped to collars. All finishers receive a custom-designed medal and post-race goodies.
