Join Aabenraa Mountain Marathon
Mountain runs can entice runners with their challenging routes, but the same difficulty can also deter them. In Aabenraa, a balance has been struck. With several distances available, participants can choose their level of challenge.
The Aabenraa Mountain Marathon features demanding hills and stunning natural scenery, drawing thousands of participants away from the roads and trails. Since its inception, the marathon has been known for its significant elevation changes and the picturesque landscapes surrounding the town and fjord.
The race starts and finishes at the charming Storetorv in the heart of the historic market town, allowing runners to experience the atmospheric old town. The event attracts participants from across the country and abroad.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Collection of start numbers at the race secretariat behind Storetorv on Friday from 15-18 and Saturday from 9:00 a.m.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Yes, you can.
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
If you are prevented from participating, or force majeure occurs that forces the organizers to cancel, you are not entitled to a refund.
Who will be the winner of the race?
The first runner across the finish line – in the various races – is the winner of the race. (Gross time)
Will there be the doping test?
Participants who are excluded for violating the anti-doping rules cannot take part in the Aabenraa Mountain Marathon. Doping tests may occur.
Will there be the prizes for winners?
Everyone who completes will receive a medal. There are prizes for No. 1, 2 and 3 for both men and women at all distances with the exception of the children's race. For the organic hill sprint, there are prizes for the fastest woman and fastest man in the marathon and half-marathon distances.
