VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight is the first large-scale night marathon held in Vietnam's most vibrant city. The tournament will start at midnight on Feb 12, 2023, passing landmarks across HCMC. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the beauty of the city at night, in the cool weather of late February.
This is also the second tournament in the VnExpress Marathon system to be held at night, after Hanoi. Many runners who have experienced the VM Hanoi Midnight 2020 said that running at night allowed them to see a quiet version of the city, different from the hustle and bustle of the day. Favorable weather at night could also help runners to achieve good results.
VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight is organized by VnExpress, along with Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and HCMC Department of Culture and Sports. The tournament will start the VnExpress Marathon series in 2023, with others scheduled to be held in Hue, Quy Nhon, Ha Long, Nha Trang, Hanoi and Hai Phong.
