A stunning Slovenian landscape, where the Alpine, Karst, and Mediterranean worlds collide. This valley, rich in history, was once the site of a legendary Roman battle in 394, where West Frankish commander Arbogast faced off against Roman Emperor Theodosius I.
Fast forward to April 25-27, 2025, and the 10th edition of the Ultra Trail Vipava Valley will unfold on this storied ground. This race is a truly heroic and unforgettable trail-running adventure, one of the most magical in Slovenia and the wider region.
Experience running through medieval villages, alongside ancient castles and monasteries, and among rolling vineyards. Conquer the hills and take in the awe-inspiring views stretching from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea. Challenge yourself and embrace the spirit of a Roman warrior!
Detalles de la ruta
The route begins at the centre of Ajdovščina and follows a paved path along Hubelj toward the southern wine-growing hills. Along the way, it passes the picturesque church of Sv. Marjeta in Dolenje, and then continues to the Planina plateau, passing the Guerila estate.

Can someone collect my race pack for me?
No, you must pick up your BIB number by yourself because you will also have to sign the Statement of Responsibility and have your mandatory equipment checked by the organizers.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Until April 1, 2025, it is possible to change the distance with no additional fees. If you change your registration to a longer distance, you will have to pay the difference in the price. If you change to a shorter distance, the price difference is not refundable. From April 2 – April 15, 2025, the change is still possible but with an additional fee of 15 EUR*. After April 15, 2025, no changes can be made.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Before December 1, 2024 – 90% December 1, 2024 – February 28, 2025 – 70% March 1, 2025 – April 15, 2025 – 50% After April 15, 2025 – 0%* If you do not provide medical certification to prove your medical issues, you will not be eligible for a refund.
Is the course marked?
Yes, all courses are marked with flags, stripes, wooden poles, and ground markings. The flags and stripes have reflectors for nighttime visibility.
