Detalles de la ruta
The Utah Valley Marathon course is both scenic and fast. You will notice in the elevation chart above that the course is almost entirely downhill. There are a couple small climbs, but this is a predominantly downhill race. You have a net loss of 1444 feet in elevation (just below the 1500 ft time penalty the Boston Marathon imposes). The other unique feature about the race that will aid your speed is that there are very few turns on this course. Fewer turns helps you run faster (every 90 degree turn in a race is a momentum killer), and fewer turns helps prevent runners from going off course. After you set your PR on our easy and fast course be sure to ring our PR gong in the finish, so people can join you in the celebration. The race runs by the Beautiful Deer Creek Reservoir, Provo River, Provo Canyon, and the mountains in all directions.
Half Marathon
This race has one of the most desirable changes in elevation of all half marathons in Utah. Half Marathon runners recover quickly from this course that has a nice scenic downhill that is not too steep, but it gives just enough downhill to aid your speed. This course uniquely starts and ends on the same road. We simply bus you up 13.1 miles up away from the starting line, so that you can enjoy the nice gentle downhill decent.
10K
This course is exceptionally fast. Not only is it a downhill course, but there is only one turn on the entire 10K route. Turns are momentum killers, so to have only one turn is remarkable in a 10K.
5K
This Friday 5K course is runs through Riverwoods and along the river trail. This is a good tune up race for the other Saturday Races, or a solo race.
Start address: Provo, United States of America

Preguntas frecuentes
When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Utah Valley Fitness expo is located at Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo on June 5th from 10 AM to 8:00 PM.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Runners may change their own race distance for a $10 fee. If you transfer from a race distance to a less expensive race, we will not refund the difference.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
All registrations are non-refundable.
What is the time limit for completing the Utah Valley Marathon?
Our new course goes through certain areas that cannot be shut down longer than what a six hour pace would allow. We must limit the course time to the six hour pace, and hope that the people that need a little slower pace join us in our half marathon that will remain open for the full six hours that the full marathon course is open.
Are wheelchairs allowed?
Due to safety concerns wheelchairs & handcycles are no longer allowed in the full marathon. There is a wheelchair/handcycle division in the half marathon. We have added prize money to this new handcycle/wheelchair division.
Are strollers allowed?
Due to safety concerns strollers are not allowed in the full marathon, half marathon, or 10K. Stroller are allowed in our 5K and FREE Kids 1k.
What is the average temperature on race day?
The average low is 54 and the average high is 83. Our early start time allows athletes to finish before the highest temperature of the day. Remember to wear layers. One suggestion is to buy a cheap throw away sweater at a discount store to wear for the first several miles and then toss on the side of the road when you don’t want to use it anymore. All clothing dropped on the side of the road during the marathon will be donated to charity.
Is there a place I can drop off my sweats during the marathon?
Yes. At the starting line a truck will take items back to the finish. We highly recommend you put your items in a bag with your race number on it. This will help sort your items at the finish area. Clothing dropped at any other point along the course will be considered a donation to charity.
Is this a Boston Marathon qualifier?
Yes. The Utah Valley Marathon is USATF sanctioned and certified. The certification code for the Utah Valley Marathon is: UT23003TJD.
