Imagine a trail race on Hvar Island, the sunniest island in the Mediterranean, where mountains seamlessly merge into the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea, offering breathtaking views and diverse terrain. And the best part? The warm Mediterranean Sea for the perfect post-race swim.
Participants will run through lush vineyards, fragrant olive groves and ancient pine forests, immersing themselves in the island’s rich heritage and culture, which are also part of the UNESCO heritage. The race will pass by historic ruins and medieval fortresses, providing a journey through time.
You’ll have the option to choose between – 6.5km, 15 km, 26 km, 42 km, and 70 km. You can expect some nice single trails, perfect views of the Mediterranean Sea and other islands in the nearby area, and courses full of rich history and culture.

Wine Run is a true celebration of life, flavor, and easygoing trail running — perfect for anyone who wants to mix a light jog or walk with tasting local wines and Hvar’s island delicacies. The route starts in front of the magnificent Tvrdalj, where the atmosphere is more about socializing and enjoyment than competition. Here, the goal is simple: you don’t race the clock — you savor the kilometers.
Explorer | 15 km
The 15-kilometre route around Stari Grad leads runners through the very heart of Hvar’s heritage and one of the island’s most diverse landscapes. The start in Stari Grad opens the way toward the Stari Grad Plain, the oldest and best-preserved ancient agricultural landscape on the Adriatic. Running through its perfectly arranged plots bordered by dry-stone walls and along gently rolling dirt paths feels like moving through a living museum — but in the rhythm of a modern trail run.
Coast 2 Coast | 26 km
Between Stari Grad and Hvar stretches one of the island’s most distinctive trail routes — a path that blends history, wild nature, and ever-changing panoramas at almost every step. Departing from Stari Grad, runners move along centuries-old field paths and dry-stone walls, gradually climbing toward the hills that rise above the UNESCO-protected Stari Grad Plain. As the town slowly fades behind them, the scents of pine, earth, and stone open the gateway to the Dalmatian wilderness waiting at higher elevations.
Hvar Marathon
The course then leads through the historic villages of Dol and Vrbanj, some of the oldest on the island, rich in cultural heritage and tradition. Before climbing the stunning ridge of Sveti Nikola, you will pass through the villages of Svirče and Vrisnik, known for their high-quality wine and olive oil production.
Long | Tour de Hvar
Trail run on Hvar Island – explore the stunning single trails of the sunniest island in the Mediterranean. You can expect some nice single trails along the Adriatic coast and ridges with amazing views on the nearby islands. The race starts in the center of Stari Grad, leading you through its most important landmarks.

You’re invited to join us for an exhilarating race from the old town to Napolen Fortress! With a start right next to the expo and BIB pick-up, in the heart of Hvar, this is guaranteed to produce burning legs and ensure epic sea views.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Friday, May 1, 2026: 17:00 – 20:00 (Hvar Town) Saturday, May 2, 2026: 07:00 – 09:00 (Stari Grad) Saturday, May 2, 2026: 18.00 – 20.00 (Hvar Town)
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Yes, you can change your selected route until April 20, 2026. After that, changes will incur a €10 fee and can only be processed at the event.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Participants who are unable to attend the event due to health problems and have already paid the entry fee, can request a partial refund of the entry fee. The runner must present an official medical document (certificate, medical certificate etc.) when requesting a refund. Note the following: Refund of 90% of the payment, if the request for refund is made before 1st January 2026. Refund of 70% of the payment, if the request for refund is made between 2nd January 2026 and 1st February 2026. Refund of 50% of the payment, if the request for refund is made before between 2nd February and 1st April 2026. Refund after April 1st 2026 is not possible, regardless of the reason why the runner does not participate in the competition.
Do I need a medical certificate to participate?
No, a medical certificate is not required. Each participant competes at their own risk.
Where can I find the list of registered participants?
The list will be published on the event website after the registration deadline.
Will there be transportation between the start and finish points?
Yes, transportation will be provided on Sunday from Hvar to the starting point in Stari Grad. But there won’t be transportation from the finish line to the Stari Grad after the race.
