Whether you want to run your first half marathon or your fastest 5K, no matter which race you choose, you’ll have gorgeous views from Del Mar to the La Jolla Shores.

Starting at the Del Mar Fairgrounds (2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar, CA 92014, USA), the course follows a coastal route to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park and then rolls atop Torrey Pines mesa. It continues through La Jolla Shores, and finishes at La Jolla Cove.
10K
Experience the best of the coast by joining the inaugural La Jolla 10K. Bypassing the legendary Torrey Pines hill, this course begins at the summit of the mesa to offer a fast, net-downhill journey. Runners follow the final 6.2 miles of the La Jolla Half Marathon route through the scenic residential streets of La Jolla Shores. Because the race starts exactly where the climbing ends, you get to enjoy the Pacific coastline on fresh legs. Our point-to-point course is perfect for anyone searching for San Diego running races with a world-class finish at La Jolla Cove.
5K
Starting at La Jolla Shores Drive and Horizon Way. For those interested in a shorter option, the La Jolla Shores 5K offers a mostly downhill course and features some of the most beautiful scenic views of the last 3.1 miles of the La Jolla half marathon course.

If you’re unable to attend the expo, you may authorize someone to pick up your items for you. This person must come with a photocopy or electronic copy of your photo ID. We have listed the Expo date, time and location below along with other important information.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
We do not offer refunds or transfers to other runners. We want you to enjoy our race in person, yourself, even if it’s in a future year!
5K Race Shuttle
The 5K race starts at La Jolla Shores Drive and Horizon Way and finishes at 1100 Coast Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037. There will be shuttles from the finish to the start from 5:00am – 6:00am.
10K Race Shuttle

Half Marathon Race Shuttle
The Half Marathon starts at 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar, CA 92014 and finishes at 1100 Coast Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037. There will be a shuttle from the finish location to the start location from 4:30am – 5:15am.
Prohibited behaviour
Cyclists, skaters, unofficial pacers, dogs or pets of any kind are not allowed anywhere on the course. For safety reasons, we discourage the use of headphones. Also due to steep downhills on the half marathon and course, strollers, racing chairs and hand cycles are not allowed in either event.
