Join Jelsa Trail 2026
Jelsa Trail is an exciting running event that showcases the unique natural and cultural heritage of the island of Hvar. Participants can experience the green landscapes of olive groves and vineyards, fragrant Mediterranean herbs, and the stunning blue of the Adriatic Sea. The route follows the path of the famous local "Za križen" procession and passes through the UNESCO-protected Stari Grad Plain, as well as numerous traditional dry-stone walls.
There are three race categories suitable for all levels: Srdelica, ideal for beginners and children, Škarpina for those looking for a challenge across picturesque villages, and Šanpjer, the most demanding route, best suited for experienced runners. All races start and finish in the coastal town of Jelsa. Alongside the sport, participants will enjoy local Mediterranean food and traditional klapa singing, both recognized by UNESCO.
The entry fee includes a race shirt, a finisher’s medal inspired by Hvar’s famous lace, refreshments, and free transport from the ferry port. The event celebrates the rich tradition and vibrant natural beauty of Hvar.
