Fjällmaraton

The Fjällmarathon is perhaps Sweden’s most beautiful – and toughest – marathon. Runners will have magnificent views of the Jämtland mountains. Shorter and flatter distances  around the beautiful Blanktjärnarna are offered for those who do not want to take on the full marathon distance.This year the marathon course leads runners from the start in Vålådalen over three mountain peaks, Ottfjället, Hållfjället and Välliste, to the finish at Trillevallen mountain station. The course is extremely demanding and offers varied terrain and technical sections. There is an immense strain placed on the runners, and finish times are well over the norm for a run of a similar distance.

The Fjällmarathon is a running experience that caters to all types of runners, from those who just want to finish the breath-taking course, through to elite athletes in search of an uncompromising challenge.
