In The Netherlands the "20 van Alphen" is the first sign of spring for runners. With a rich history which started back in 1953 the 20 van Alphen has become the first road run of the new season! Alphen aan den Rijn is situated in the middle of the "Randstad", the busy part of The Netherlands in between Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht. This part is called the Green Heart with cosy villages any many classical dutch canals.
Each distance runs through and around Alphen aan den Rijn, right through the beautiful Green Heart on fully paved roads. The 20 km course of the 20 van Alphen has been officially measured by the Dutch Athletics Union, with the 20 km you can therefore rely on the exact distance.

Transporte
The location is within walking distance from the NS train station. The guarded bicycle parking in De Vest is open and free of charge.
