Der Salzburg Marathon bietet Laufvergnügen pur in der Mozartstadt. Die flache und schnelle Strecke führt dich durch die schönsten Orte der Stadt. Der Salzburg Marathon kombiniert das Beste aus zwei Welten mit einigen ikonischen Sehenswürdigkeiten dieser historischen Stadt, die von mittelalterlichen bis zu barocken Gebäuden und grünen und ruhigen Landschaften reichen, gemischt in einer 21 km langen Rundstrecke. All dies mit den herrlichen, schneebedeckten Ostalpen im Hintergrund für den doppelten Laufgenuss. Der Salzburg Marathon hat eine großartige Atmosphäre mit vielen freundlichen Zuschauern in der Stadt und mehreren Musik- und Anfeuerungspunkten entlang der Strecke.

Let's celebrate a wonderful running experience on the beautiful running course through the Mozart City! The 22th edition of the Salzburg Marathon will take place as the climax of the Running Festival of the Mozart City from 11th to 18th May, 2025 in Salzburg with a large offer of competitions and entertaining action to participate in. In 2025, the Salzburg Marathon will focus on young European marathon runners.
We invite you to a special running experience in Salzburg. The Running Festival of Mozart City is your stage. Make your running dreams come true! Enjoy a unique spectacle in front of a wonderful scenery! Dive into all the facets that make a successful running weekend! Feel the sound of running!
The Running Festival of Mozart City provides you a large active-program over three days including competitions for every runner and a large entertainment program. A perfect opportunity to highlight your trip to Salzburg with a common running experience together with your family or your friends.
The very flat running course, measured according to the specifications of AIMS and World Athletics, leads you directly to most of the famous places of Mozarts’s hometown. See you soon at the Running Festival of Mozart City 2025!

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
SportMall in the Volksgarten ice arena - Hermann-Bahr-Promenade 2. Friday, May 16, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 10 a.m to 6 p.m.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
No, every participant has to collect his/her race bag including the bib number personally.
How do I get to the race location?
We recommend that you travel to Salzburg using public transport – relaxed, sustainable, sporty! Excellent train connections from the Westbahn line (from Vienna), from the Tauern line (south) and from Bavaria & Tyrol. Good connections to the international airports in Vienna and Munich. International accessibility via Salzburg Airport. If you are arriving by car, we recommend using the Park & Ride zones at the start and changing to the trolleybus in the city area. There are paid parking garages (e.g. Mönchsberggarage) close to the city center.

Salzburg Marathon has been bio-certified every yeare since 2010 for providing high quality organic food and drinks to participants and spectators. This long series is unique in marathon world. The rare exception of conventional food is clearly marked. Salzburg offers perfect possibilities to combine sports and culture within the UNESCO world cultural heritage Salzburg old town.
