Situated in an area of great natural beauty, the Tróia Peninsula, with its golden sandy beach approximately 17km long and 1.5km wide, surrounded by a blue sea and the Sado River, makes Tróia a prime destination for hosting Swimrun, perfectly fitting the spirit of this sport.
The entire landscape of this place is breathtaking, with its extensive sandy beaches, wild sandbanks, the Caldeira lagoon in the heart of the Sado estuary, guarded by centuries-old Roman ruins, and a natural dolphin habitat in the sea to the south. All this is well preserved under the watchful gaze of the majestic Serra da Arrábida mountain range as a backdrop.
