Join Ultra Marathon of the Atlantic 2025
Get ready for an unforgettable challenge at the Atlantic Ultra Marathon, the biggest sporting event organized by the Municipality of Grândola, taking place on July 27th. This thrilling race covers a stunning 45 km, linking Tróia-Mar Beach to Melides Beach along the Atlantic coastline.
The Ultra Marathon is more than just a race—it’s a true test of physical and mental endurance. Participants will experience the unique challenge of running on sandy terrain, with the breathtaking backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and the Serra da Arrábida mountain range. This scenic route provides an extraordinary experience for both seasoned athletes and first-time runners.
In addition, the Corrida Atlântica, a 10 km race along a new route, will take place at Praia de Melides, allowing runners to experience the beauty and challenge of running on sand. Since its inception in 2014, the Atlantic Ultra Marathon and the Corrida Atlântica have become iconic events, offering participants a chance to push their limits while enjoying one of the most beautiful coastal settings in Portugal.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
· Saturday, July 26th – For both competitions – Aldeia de Melides (location to be designated) – 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. · Sunday, July 27th – For the Atlantic Ultra Marathon – Marina de Tróia, between 7:00 am and 8:00 am. · Sunday, July 27th – For the Atlantic Race – Melides Beach, between 7:30 am and 8:30 am.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
There is no refund of the registration fee, except in the case of postponement or cancellation of the event for unforeseen reasons beyond the organization's control.
