Khao Yai Trail Marathon

Up there on the podium with some of the world’s greatest parks, Khao Yai is Thailand’s oldest and most visited reserve. Covering 2168 sq km, Khao Yai incorporates one of the largest intact monsoon forests remaining in mainland Asia, which is why it was named a Unesco World Heritage site (as part of the Dong Phayayen–Khao Yai Forest Complex). Visiting independently is quite easy, as the mostly English-speaking staff at the visitor centre are very helpful. Khao Yai National Park, home of the Khao Yai Trail Marathon.

The course is mostly flat but covers enough terrain for anyone looking for a bit of a challenge. The trails will be on a marked route that run parallel to the national park featuring scenic tropical forest views with a chance of spotting animals such as Birds and Monkeys. Giving all runners breathtaking views and experience that will last a life time.

As part of our concept “Run With Green” – we have sought our trail to minimize the impact on the natural environment and we do not use plastic cup at water stations. We do only have limited number of paper cup at each stations so we do require every runners to carry at least one water bottle the entire way.

This race is apart of the Tiger Balm Trail Series which showcase some favourite running trails in Thailand focusing on scenic terrain running routes. 

Green and friendly run is our philosophy. Our course will be accessible and enjoyable for every runner, from beginner to experienced, however, still maintain the sense of adventurous and competitive in trail running with safety as the top priority. Also, it will be as well friendly for community and local surround the trails, environmentally and economically. We promise to do our best to keep our races as green as possible by minimising any adverse impact to the environment and contributing preservation projects to save our planet.
