Marathon

The Marathon course is fast, downhill, and scenic. Starting at Mel Lastman Square in North York and finishing at Ontario Place, the Marathon winds through many of the City’s great neighbourhoods. This Toronto favourite is one of the fastest courses you will find anywhere and is a great qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Many of our participants continue to post PR’s in this event!

Half Marathon

The Half Marathon course is fast, downhill, and scenic. Starting at Mel Lastman Square in North York and finishing at Ontario Place, the Half Marathon is the most attended event during Race Weekend

Practicalities

After Race Services

Runners will be provided with Gatorade, water, pitas, Clif Bars, bananas, and oranges inside the Better Living Centre. All leftover food will be donated to Second Harvest. A team of Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) and physiotherapists will be available to all Marathon, and Half Marathoner participants to help work out some of the aches and pains you may be feeling. A very experienced medical team, including chiropodists, will be on hand to assist any participant in need at finish line.

Aid Stations

Aid stations supplying water, Gatorade and toilets will be on course approximately every 2.5 km to 3.5km, and at the Start and Finish Lines.

Equipment Storage

Located at Yonge St and Elmhurst Ave. One block North of Sheppard Ave on the West side of Yonge St. Bags must be checked in before 7am to be transported to the finish.

Parking

Parking is available near the start lines for all events. Be advised that road closures are in effect beginning at 7:00 AM.

How do I get to the race location?

The Expo is well-served by public transit. Streetcars from Union Station (509 Harbourfront) and Bathurst Station (511 Bathurst) and buses from Dufferin Station (29 Dufferin) travel directly to Exhibition Place. The Expo is also served by GO Transit trains on the Lakeshore West line (Exhibition GO Station). For schedules, visit ttc.ca and gotransit.com. Participants are responsible for arriving at the start line at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?

Friday, April 29th: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 30th: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, May 1st: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Pickup Location: Toronto Marathon Expo, Queen Elizabeth Building, 100 Princes' Blvd.
