Join St David’s Day Run 2025
Join us in Bute Park, Cardiff, to commemorate St. David’s Day with a 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon run, or even our mini run designed specifically for kids.
Dress up in celebration of Wales and spend the morning in the company of family members, companions, or peers, enjoying the spirit of this unique event.
The delightful venue of Bute Park invites all of us to push our limits. Whether running solo, with friends or family, or perhaps even dressed as a daffodil, leek, or dragon, the day promises to be memorable.
We're thrilled to announce our collaboration with two highly esteemed Welsh charities, Cancer Research Wales and Kidney Wales. A portion of each entry fee goes directly to these charities, and additionally, we urge you to run in their honor and make an impact on lives all across Wales.
All participants will receive full race chip timing, a high-quality medal for your collection, day-of refreshments, and discount offers from us at the Fix, as well as from our partners.
Course details
The 5k is one lap, the 10k is 2 and half is just over 4 laps. All runners will get split times for each lap.

Frequently asked questions
When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Open from 8.00am and, so please arrive nice and early.
How do I get to the race location?
There is no parking within Bute Park so please make sure you plan your journey to arrive with time to spare. From M4, exit junction 32 and follow the A470 to Cardiff city centre. Please use the city centre car parks or on-street meter parking. There are NCP car parks on Westgate Street and Dumfries Place. Have your Westgate Street ticket validated at the Castle for 20% off. For Sat Nav: Cardiff Castle postcode is CF10 3RB Cardiff Central Station is located just 10 minutes' walk away.
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
The Fix Events cancellation/refund policy is: Up to 14 days before the event you can cancel and receive a 60% refund on your entry fees. After this point we can not offer any refunds.
Can I wear headphones?
Yes we do allow this but please note it is your responsibility to make sure you can hear what's going on around you when running, including marshals and general public. Please keep the volume at a level whereby you can hear any important announcements that may be made. (this is allowed at running events but not triathlon, please see last faq for more info)
Can I run with a buggy?
Yes this is typically ok for most locations however please check the run route course as some locations can be a mix of path, trail, grass so not always suitable for running with a buggy. Also please try and stay to the left as much as possible to give room for other runners.
Can I walk / do you have a cut off time to complete the event in?
We typically have a cut off time of 1.5 hours to complete the 5k/10k races from when the event starts. 3 hours for half marathons. Walking part of a 5k event is typically fine but the 10k races are mostly for running (with a bit of walking/jogging if necessary!). If doing a virtual run you have the luxury of completing your event anytime, anywhere and for however long throughout the given event period!
