Join Exeter Gravel 2025
Gravel racing finally arrives in the South West. Now’s your chance to try your hand at this fast growing branch of the sport.
Our lapped off-road course is mostly on gravel fire roads. So it’s perfect for gravel bikes but also well suited to CX bikes or mountain bikes. This race will be electronically chip timed. We will finish everyone on the same lap so even if you get lapped you will finish within a few minutes of the winner.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a gravel bike for your gravel events?
Definitely not. A mountain bike or a CX (cyclo-cross) bike will be almost as quick. The only thing we stipulate is that you use tyres that are at least 33mm wide & we recommend 38-40mm. ebikes are also welcome.
Do you allow ebikes in your gravel events?
We do at our gravel sportives but they are not allowed at our gravel races, which are run under British Cycling race regulations, At our sportives we can't guarantee charging around the course though so make sure your battery life is sufficient for the distance you've chosen.
