The 1st TRAIL RUNNING FESTIVAL includes two historical races on the mountain running scene: the CRO TRAIL now in its 19th edition and La VIA DEI LUPI now in its 15th edition.
Two races therefore, in two days, on the same weekend, involving two of the most touristically important municipalities in the Vermenagna Valley: Vernante and Limone P.te.
The two races will be part of the prestigious ONE HUNDRED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2024 world circuit, which will give further prestige to the event and will be sure to attract many high-level Italian and foreign athletes.
On Saturday 29, with departure at 17:00, the VIA DEI LUPI will take place on the classic 11 km route with 650 metres of altitude difference, and on Sunday 30, with departure at 08:00 from Vernante, the CRO TRAIL will take place. This will certainly determine a good tourist impact on the territory, considering the starting hours, many athletes from all over Italy and abroad will use the hotels and restaurants in the valley.
In the international panorama of the "Ultra" speciality, the CRO TRAIL ranks among the best known and most important in Europe, and with its 43 km race starting from Vernante and finishing in Limone P.te, it is considered one of the most spectacular in the entire Alpine arc, touching part of the Maritime Alps Park and the historic Savoy forts on the Italian/French border, as well as the historic Via del Sale (Salt Road) that connects Liguria and Piedmont.
The VIA DEI LUPI, considering the km of the race, will be a race "for everyone", those who participate in both races will also run for the combined classification determined by the sum of the two times. Also new in 2024 is the 'He & She' classification, for those couples, in fact, who will run both races together.

What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
In case of cancellation by the participant of registration for the race or non-participation, no refund will be provided unless the cancellation is caused by injury or illness, in which case it will be necessary to produce the proving documents. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure between 10 and two days before the date of the race, only 50% of the registration price will be refunded. In case of cancellation due to force majeure from the day before and the day of the race, no refund will be provided. No refund will be provided in the event of a change to the route or suspension of the race.
