The City of Caribou, Maine, is noted for being the most Northeastern City in the United States. As such, Caribou is a recreational tourist destination during the year for winter sports, summer beauty, fall leaf peeping, and benefits from its close proximity to Maine’s northern wilderness for hunting, fishing, and other outdoor sports. Caribou’s industrial and farming businesses are an essential part of the region’s economic heritage.
The City of Caribou Maine is proud present the first ever USATF certified Marathon in Aroostook County Maine. It is also the most Northeastern Qualifier in the United States!
The Caribou Maine Marathon is a rolling hill USATF certified course that showcases the beauty of Caribou and Aroostook County. After touring through the farmland and country side of Caribou, the course brings you through downtown where you will be cheered on by the crowd and into the finish by the festival.
