The Witterings Beach Run offers runners a unique opportunity to experience the stunning West Sussex coastline on foot. Held at West Witterings Beach, a renowned Blue Flag-awarded stretch of coast, the event features races for all abilities. Participants run along unspoilt sandy flats revealed at low tide, enjoying panoramic views of local landmarks such as Selsey Bill, the Isle of Wight, Chichester Harbour, the Solent, and the South Downs.
The course provides an ideal surface for beach running and includes on-course water stations to keep participants hydrated while they take in the coastal scenery. Whether aiming for a personal best, tackling beach running for the first time, or simply enjoying a leisurely seaside race, the event is designed to be both welcoming and invigorating.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal, a refreshing drink, and exciting goodie bag rewards at the finish line. Supported by an inclusive atmosphere, the Witterings Beach Run is an exceptional way to kick off the UK running season amidst beautiful natural vistas and fresh sea air.

You will collect your running bib number on arrival at the event.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Yes, you can drop your distance. You can even do this on the day of the event. All you need to do is notify a member of our team before you set off or, if you do this at the course split, please make sure to let a member of our team know at the end of your run. Yes, you are more than welcome to upgrade your distance. Prices may vary depending on what you are switching to. You can do this on the day of the event.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Entry fees are non-refundable. Up to 2 weeks before the event you can transfer your entry to another runner. This will incur a £10 charge (per person). Up to 10 days before the event you can transfer your entry to another event. This will incur a £10 charge (per person).
