Join Vesuvio Ultra Marathon 2026
The races will unfold within the scenic Vesuvius National Park, guiding athletes along its enchanting trails and transporting them back in time as they pass by significant landmarks. After ascending to the summit of Vesuvius, participants will venture into the wild terrain of “Valle dell’Inferno” (Hell Valley), traversing the renowned Via Matrone and the Carcova, where the rebellious Spartacus famously defeated the Roman legions during the Vesuvius Servile War. Athletes will also explore the wooded paths of the Mount Somma mountain range, including its notable peaks known as “cognoli.” The start and finish area at the historic Castello Mediceo in Ottaviano will offer a delightful glimpse into the medieval era, when it was the residence of the Medici family.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
The bib and race pack collection operations will be handled by EvoData – Timing & Data staff Solutions, at the race logistics area at the Palazzo Mediceo, EPNV headquarters, via Salita Principe, Ottaviano. • Friday 18/09/2026: from 15:00 to 20:00 (continuous hours) for all races • Saturday 19/09/2026: from 6:00 until 20 minutes before the start of the races
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Partial reimbursement of the fee is only provided in the event of proven inability to participate: • By 28/02/2026: refund of 60% of the fee paid • By 05/09/2026: refund of 30% of the fee paid These percentages are due to expenses already incurred and not recoverable by the Organization. For cancellations after 05/09/2026, the postponement of the registration fee for a maximum of 1 year may be assessed in extremis. It is not allowed: • Switch from one race to another • Exchange or transfer the bib (anyone found, even after the race, with another competitor's bib will be disqualified and placed on the blacklist) In the event of cancellation of the race due to force majeure, weather conditions or other reasons independent of the Organization, no refund will be due.

• Camel bag backpack or bottle holder containing at least 1 liter of liquids • Headlamp with light • Cup or bottle/glass (no glasses at the refreshment points) • Whistle • Bandana or cap • Waterproof jacket • Elastic bandage • Survival blanket • Clearly visible bib • Mobile phone switched on with silent ringer
