Ultrabug

Ultrabug is a fully supported, multi-day ultra marathon set in Romania’s Carpathian Mountains. Participants traverse scenic mountain paths, cross mineral water streams, and encounter remote villages rich in local culture. The event is designed for all levels, making it accessible for both seasoned ultrarunners and first-time participants looking for a challenging adventure in nature. Alongside the 100km main event spread over three days, Ultrabug offers shorter race options—Marathon XFun, Ultra XFun, Fun Run, and a Minibug race—making it possible for runners with varying ambitions to join. Runners will experience routes that pass through lush forests, past working farmland, and over stunning mountain peaks, providing breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere accentuated by the sounds of nature. The event also spotlights local traditions, and a festive after party that brings participants together, celebrating achievements and newfound friendships.
