The race takes place in Serra D'Ossa, Redondo, District of Évora. It is a race recognized for the hardness of its many kilometers of trails and high elevation gain.
It is a place surrounded by traditions, rituals, myths and beliefs. Legend tells us that it was on the top of S. Gens, the highest point of the mountain, that the great Viriato Lusitano descended a few times to face the Roman armies.
Populated since the Bronze Age, and a place of devotion to shepherds, it was home to the first hermits of the Christian era who made it magical, shaped it, and gave her name.
It promises to be a hard and beautiful race, where you will be able to enjoy its wonderful views, appreciate the aromas of its magnificent flora, and who knows, have fun in the company of some of its fauna.
Trail do Texugo will start and finish in the Aldeia of Serra D'Ossa, a picturesque place where until a few decades ago you could see women sitting at the door of their houses, talking about the hard life of farming and housework, or simply waving to anyone passing by on the village road. Suffering today with the desertification that plagues all the interior of Alentejo, Trail do Texugo is without a doubt an event that besides allowing it to be known by others, can also bring it a new soul.

Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes, the race pack or BIB can be picked up upon presentation of proof of payment, or corresponding registration and an ID document.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
The exchange race, between runners, is only allowed with the organization's authorization, until March 10, 2023.
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
The aforementioned factors may also suspend, reduce or neutralize the events. If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond the control of the organization, by the deadline for entries, there will be a right to reimbursement of a certain percentage, calculated by the organization, in order to cover the expenses incurred with the event.
Physical Conditions
All participants in the event, in any of the races and Trail Initiation course, must be aware of their own physical conditions and they must enjoy good health, physical and mental preparation suitable for long efforts and be prepared for rough terrain and extreme weather conditions.
