Swan Lake Marathon

Welcome to the Swan Lake Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, and 5k run! We are glad that you are interested in this race. The Swan Lake Marathon and shorter races are held in cooperation with Swan Lake Christian Camp. After expenses all the proceeds from the Swan Lake Marathon and other races go towards Swan Lake Christian Camp’s general fund. Donations can also be made towards camper scholarships. Not all children can afford coming to camp and Swan Lake will never turn someone away. The parents are told to pay what they can and the monies from camper scholarships cover the difference.

The Swan Lake Marathon, Half Marathon & 5.3-Mile Run takes participants on a tour of the lake and nearby campgrounds of this rural town just outside Sioux Falls.

Fast and flat with little change in elevation throughout the race, the marathon begins and ends at the gateway to the camp, where runners are invited to ring the bell at the finish line as they complete their race.

Designed to be family-friendly, the race also includes a wide range of activities for the spouses, children, families and friends of those participating while they run, including frisbee golf, swimming, canoeing and worship services.
