Join Șiria Winter Trail 2026
Șiria Winter Trail is a sports competition for both amateurs and professionals with the aim of promoting mountain running in Arad County, Romania, using tourist trails in the Zărand Mountains, Arad County, Romania, organized with the help of participation contributions/donations and with the support of sponsors and partners.
Also, ȘIRIA WINTER TRAIL promotes the natural and historical heritage of Arad county, combining local tourism with mountain running by covering some mountain trails with the following objectives of interest: Şiriei Citadel , Feredeu Monastery and Feredeu Monastery.
Scheduled for February 21, 2026.
Under the slogan "Conquer The Cold, Unleash The Bold", the WINTER TRAIL offers you the unique opportunity to discover the beauty of history and the majesty of nature in a charming winter landscape.
Our routes will take you through amazing landscapes, conquering a medieval fortress (Şiria fortress), you will enjoy fresh winter air in the middle of nature, but also a welcoming and warm atmosphere at the end, with a lot of good cheer and cool people who- and share the experiences and joy of running together.
Detalles de la ruta
The 6km race route will take place on marked tourist routes, local residents' paths, forest roads and paved public roads on the route: Şiria - Dorobanti str. - Şiria Orthodox Church - Şiria Cross - Şiria
2. Cross 15 km with 690 m difference in level.
The 15km race route will take place on marked tourist routes on the following route: Șiria - towards Cazan Saddle - Feredeu Monastery - Tourist Monument - Șiria.
3. Half marathon 24 km with 1100 m difference in level.
The half-marathon route will take place on tourist routes marked on the following route: Șiria - towards Șaua Cazan - Mănăstire Feredeu - Feredeu Hermitage - Vârful Cârciuma - Valea Almașului - Șiria.
The routes are mainly made up of tourist paths marked as such, local people's paths, forest roads and paved public roads, and will be signaled by the organizer with marking strips and/or directional arrows.
