The Simatai 100 - the Great Wall Ultra Trail takes place at the iconic Simatai Great Wall, the only section in China that has preserved its original Ming Dynasty appearance without large-scale modern reconstruction, and recognized by UNESCO as an “original” Great Wall site. Set against the dramatic mountain landscape near Beijing and starting from the scenic Gubei Water Town, the race offers a unique opportunity to run through history and nature. The event features four distances—50km, 30km, 20km, and 6km—with all courses including approximately 1km on the Great Wall, while the 50km course covers around 7km of this historic terrain. As an added benefit, the registration fee includes a two-day pass to Gubei Water Town, allowing runners to fully experience this cultural destination alongside the race.
