Join Serifos Sunset Race
The Serifos Sunset Race is a premier sporting event in the Cyclades, celebrating its 11th edition on the weekend of September 13-14, 2025. Combining running, swimming, and family-friendly activities, the event offers participants an unforgettable experience on the stunning island of Serifos. The highlight of the event is the 5km and 10km sunset running races held on Saturday evening along the breathtaking Gulf of Koutalas. Runners traverse scenic coastal routes, passing beaches like Vagia, Ganema, and Koutalas, with the dramatic Cycladic sunset and rugged landscapes as their backdrop.
The festivities begin with an opening ceremony on Friday evening in Ano Chora’s central square, featuring music, dance, and local delicacies. Saturday morning includes children’s running races through Livadi, while Sunday features swimming competitions at Avlomonas Beach with options for 750m, 1,500m, and 3,000m, alongside kids’ races. With over 2,500 athletes and visitors annually, the Serifos Sunset Race blends competition, celebration, and the charm of an off-season Cycladic retreat.
