Run Holden Beach

Welcome to the Town of Holden Beach, nationally recognized as one of the premier "Family Beaches" in the United States. Holden Beach is proud of what it do not have. It is primarily a residential community, with a small commercial area. Holden Beach is a great place to relax, enjoy the beach and the natural wildlife that surrounds us. Clean water, blue skies and lots of family fun. Come experience it for yourself. 

With that being said, the Run Holden Beach is the place to be!!

This will be the annual “Run Holden Beach” event that includes a 1 Mile fun run/walk, 5K & Half Marathon followed by a BIG after party under the bridge by the amphitheater. This is also the third event in the 4 race series to earn the worlds largest race series medals!

We have some of the best USATF certified routes for our 5K and Half Marathon races right on the beach in North Carolina. They are Flat & Fast courses (with the exception of 65′ of elevation on the bridge for the half marathon). See our courses below with route maps.
