Únete Roma-Ostia Half Marathon
The Roma-Ostia Half Marathon (Italian: Roma Ostia Mezza Maratona or Maratonina Roma-Ostia) is an annual half marathon road running event which takes place in late February in Rome, Italy. The course begins in the EUR district of the city and follows a direct south-easterly route to the finish point near the beaches of Ostia.It is Italy’s most popular half marathon, with a record 12,000 entries and 9,485 finishers in 2011. The course has a point-to-point format and as a result it some editions have had an overall downhill drop, as well as athlete-assisting tailwinds. Due to these factors, some performances have been ineligible for personal bests or records.
Destacable en la rutaThe varied course route is a fast one with some light up-and-down hill stretches. Starting at the Palazzo dello Sport, the route runs through Rome Eur, then runs the entire length of via Cristoforo Colombo (17,200 km), then up and down the seafront, 280 mt each way, to the finish line at the round-about. (La Rotonda).

Puestos de avituallamiento
There will be water and sponge provisions along the route. Three stations at around kilometers 5,11, and 16 and one spunge station (unless there are particularly difficult weather conditions), around Km 13. At these stations, athletes who drop out off the race along the way may hand in their chips. There will be a ‘sweeper bus’ and ambulance behind the last athlete. It will also be possible to turn in the chips on the ‘sweeper bus’ for athletes who drop out along the way. At the finish line there will be refreshments including water, tea, and fruit.
The outside time limit for race completion is 3 hours.
Your time will be monitered from the moment you pass the starting line, till the moment you pass the finish line and at three other point along the way thanks to special sensors that register the progress of your chip.
