Roche Abbey Ramble

The course begins on the road outside the pub and follows a lapped route that mixes woodland paths, grassy sections, trail, and short stretches of road. The profile is undulating and challenging, with stepping stones on the route; a marshal is stationed there to assist. Multiple distance options are available by completing additional laps. The event is fully signed and marshalled, with water and feed stations placed around the course to support hydration and fuelling. All finishers receive a bespoke medal plus post‑run refreshments, including cake and a chip butty served in the pub, with a pint or soft drink. The organisers donate 50p per runner to English Heritage, which cares for Roche Abbey and similar historic sites, adding a heritage-supporting element to the day.
