Rim Rock Marathon

Get ready for a stunning – and all-downhill – half marathon at this fall’s U.S. Bank Rim Rock Marathon, which is set to make its annual running this year but just its first with the 13.1-mile race distance.

Join one of the most scenic marathons in the world. Winding over the Colorado National Monument (a unit of the national park system) from Grand Junction to Fruita, Colorado, this race boasts scenery like none other. Enjoy the peaceful course featuring views of towering monoliths, vast plateaus and canyon panoramas. You can experience sheer-walled, red rock canyons along the twists and turns of the course.

Proceeds from the U.S. Bank Rim Rock Marathon benefit Colorado Mesa University’s Track & Field and Cross Country student athlete scholarships and the Greater Grand Junction Sports Commission.
