Welcome to the International Marathon Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro

Political capital of Côte d'Ivoire since 1983, Yamoussoukro is the birthplace of the founding father of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. It is home to the largest basilica in the world, the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, which makes it an architectural gem both in terms of its urbanization and in terms of its tourist and economic potential. Unique charm and unparalleled authenticity; for Côte d'Ivoire, Yamoussoukro affectionately called "Yakro" is a haven of peace.

The Yamoussoukro Our Lady of Peace International Marathon is an event established to give appeal to this emblematic city. In other words, the Yamoussoukro Our Lady of Peace International Marathon is a unique and large-scale event that will carry the colors of Côte d'Ivoire high. This first edition is under the theme: "together, let's run for peace".

Yamoussoukro invites you to discover its beauty and dynamism with the mythical 42.195km, which starts and ends at the "Félix Houphouët-Boigny foundation for the search for peace". Our route will crisscross the city on its most beautiful arteries to glimpse among others the basilica, the caiman lakes, the residence of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny

The event is structured around 3 axes:

- Conferences and panels
- Animation village culture and gastronomy called "foundy kro"
- The marathon

The international marathon our lady of peace of Yamoussoukro is entirely dedicated to the promotion of made in Côte d'Ivoire, and the know-how of our regions. 10,000 expected athletes will be at the rendezvous of union, conviviality and shared happiness.
