The Redcliffe Peninsula talks up its historical credentials. Site of Queensland’s first European settlement (1824), the peninsula juts into Moreton Bay about 35km north of Brisbane. There’s not a whole lot of ‘ye olde’ stuff to see here, however, with the local focus squarely on maintaining a relaxed pace of life. A laid-back, beachy suburban vibe permeates the shoreline and backstreets. The area has plenty of unpolished fish-and-chip joints and calm beaches that are right up kids’ alleys. Redcliffe is also the childhood home of the brothers Gibb – Barry, Robin and Maurice – better known as the Bee Gees. Win friends and influence people by humming Stayin’ Alive as you strut up and down Redcliffe Pde.

With that being said, the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run is the place to be!!

The Jetty 2 Jetty is an annual running event at Woody Point in Redcliffe, Queensland with a 21km half marathon and 3km, 5km & 10km fun run/walk events.

All events start at Crokatt Park, following the waterfront North, before looping back at the half way point to the start/finish area. Each event has a different turnaround point.

Course highlights

The Half Marathon scenic course follows the waterfront, starting and finishing in front of the Belvedere Hotel next to the Woody Point Jetty. The 21.1km course follows the coast line to Scarborough, before returning to the Woody Point Jetty. The Half Marathon event attracts local, national & international competitors each year.
