Jazz Half Marathon

This year marks the annual running of the New Orleans Jazz Half Marathon & 5K, both of which take runners on a fast, flat course through the paved streets of one of the most interesting cities anywhere in America, known around the world for its architectural, cultural and natural beauty.

Begun as a benefit for the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, the race will start downtown at the city’s Lafayette Square, and follow an out-and-back course that loops through uptown New Orleans as well as the city’s historic Garden District and its beautiful, spacious green Audubon Park, which is also home to its zoo, aquarium and insect exhibit known as the “Insectarium.”
