The Great West Run half marathon has it all; the energy of a city centre road race, combined with pretty country lanes and stunning views across Exeter, with a fantastic stadium finish. The brand new 10km route will follow the first and final 3 miles of the half marathon.
The Community Mile takes place alongside the famous Great West Run Half Marathon and brand new 10km. The-mile-long fun run is designed to encourage first time runners, families, friends, colleagues and teams to come together and challenge themselves to get active for a fitter, healthier life.
Great for beginners and experts alike, this event should be on all your running calendars.
Course highlights
This popular half marathon gives runners an exciting challenge for the autumn, taking in Exeter City Centre and the university, as well as the beautiful country lane through Stoke Woods. We are delighted to tell you that Exeter's Great West Run is at Exeter Arena, giving runners a fantastic stadium finish.

Your race pack will be sent out to you 2 weeks before the event.
What is your COVID-19 policy?
Although we cannot predict where we will be as a nation by May, we have put well thought out, flexible and responsive measures in place to ensure that the Great West Run 2021 is a COVID-secure event, as other events have already started to show is possible. We will do everything we can to ensure that the event will go ahead, but if COVID-19 stops this from happening we will be offering refunds or transfers to all runners.
