GravelMan Annecy is an ultra-distance cycling event based in Annecy, Haute-Savoie, with routes set among deep blue lakes, mountains, forests, alpine pastures, tracks, trails and lesser-used roads. The event offers both Gravel and Road formats, with five distances in each discipline: just under 500, 350, 200, 120 and 60 kilometers.
The courses are designed for riders seeking a demanding outdoor challenge in an alpine setting. Participants can expect steep climbs, technical sections, rural sequences and scenic mountain landscapes. The 500 km route includes around 8,000 meters of elevation gain and combines the 350 km and 200 km routes. The 350 km format has around 6,000 meters of elevation gain and is described as an expert-level course. The 200 km distance is presented as an ideal entry point into GravelMan. The 120 km route includes around 2,500 meters of elevation gain, while the 60 km course has around 1,000 meters and is accessible to all.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
The refund of registration fees (excluding administrative fees of €10 including VAT) will be made by a partial credit of the payment to a bank account provided by the participant. The refund policy will apply as follows: From the opening date until 4 months before the event date: 60% refund minus administrative fees From 4 months to 2 months before the event date: 30% refund minus administrative fees Less than 2 months: 0% refund. In case of withdrawal for medical reasons, you must follow this process: Send an email with a medical certificate stating that you are unable to participate in long-distance cycling for medical reasons. Refunds will be processed according to the above refund policy. Once the email containing the route map and guide has been sent 10 days prior to departure, no refunds or postponements will be accepted. The participant's registration will therefore be forfeited.
Navigation
The use of a dedicated cycling GPS is recommended. Each athlete must follow the mandatory GravelMan route. You can extract the GPX file corresponding to your format (road or gravel) from Strava, located in the Drive attached to the email sent 10 days prior to the event, and transfer it directly to your GPS.
Mandatory clothing
- Warm gloves for cold temperatures - Cold-resistant clothing - Reflective clothing (Audax vest, safety vest) - Jacket with hood, made with a waterproof membrane (minimum recommended 10,000 *Schmerber) and breathable (*RET recommended less than 13) - if no hood, headband and beanie are allowed. - Helmet - Glasses
Mandatory equipment
- Front and rear lights: 200 lumens or more for the main light. A headlamp is also recommended. - Bicycle pump mandatory, even if you are using tubeless tires - Repair kit: patch, glue and tire lever - 1 inner tube, or even two if possible - 1 survival blanket - Mobile phone and charger - Minimum water reserve: 1.5 liters - Recommended 5000 mAh / 10000 mAh external battery - Recommended 1000 calories of food reserve - Whistle required
What is the GravelMan Series?
The GravelMan Series® events are ultra-distance cycling events described as "unassisted" (bikepacking), offering 6 distances: 60 km, 120 km, 200 km, 350 km, 500 km and 700 km. All, or almost all, of the dates have these distances in Road and Gravel versions. - Road = 100% road - Gravel = 70-60% gravel and 30-40% road
