The Connemarathon attracts runners and walkers from all over the world. In 2015 participants came from 28 countries to experience the stunning course. Our international participants enjoy a warm Irish welcome along with the sense of comradeship on the route and the unmistakable buzz of the day. No other sporting event gives people such a taste of Ireland and its highlights.
Destacable en la rutaThe Connemara Marathon is known for its stunning scenery, with a rugged landscape taking runners past stunning mountains and beautiful glacial lakes. The route is very hilly and will tire even the best runners, but the beautiful surroundings and friendly crowds are enough to win over any runner. The course meanders past bogs, hills, lakes, and the Twelve Pin mountains rising up over the great expanse of Killary Lough, through the quiet village of Leenane, around the Maam Turk Mountains and all the way back up to Maam Cross.
