The Atlantic Coast Challenge offers a new edition that begins at Fistral Beach in Newquay and takes participants along the beautiful coastline until they reach Hayle River Mouth. The challenge concludes at St Ives Bay Holiday Park. Whether you choose to walk, run, or even crawl, this 40-mile journey allows you to test your mental and physical strength against some of Britain's most picturesque scenery. A collaboration between Votwo and Geo Tracks ensures that runners have access to a personal GPS tracker and navigation mobile app. This technology enables accurate course navigation and provides real-time positions of other participants as well as their own.
Participants who complete the challenge will receive a custom event T-shirt and medal as a token of their achievement. Transportation is available from the event headquarters to the starting point, as well as for those who may choose to retire from the challenge.
Detalles de la ruta
The course follows the South West Coast Path which is marked by the Acorn sign. It's a very obvious well-worn route. The emphasis is on self-navigation. In most cases, it's as easy as keeping the sea on your left and the land on your right.

What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
Any event entry or accommodation cancellation received by email more than 14 days prior to the event date will receive a 50% refund or transfer of entry fee towards another votwo event (£10 transfer fee applies). Only emailed cancellations are acceptable. Cancellations made in the last 14 days before the event start date will not be eligible for any refund or transfer All entries are non-transferable between individuals.
Required kit:
A means of navigation; Actions on sheet (issued at registration); Whistle; Compass; Waterproof top; Long trousers or tights; Gloves (waterproofed); Hat (waterproofed); Chocolate bar or similar; Small torch with spare batteries; More than 400ml of water or other drink; A lightweight piece of warm clothing (waterproofed); A fully charged mobile phone (waterproofed); A notepad and pencil with your name and your mobile number written on it (waterproofed).
