The 7CUT40 race takes participants through a variety of awe-inspiring landscapes, including serene lagoons, towering peaks, and thrilling descents, all the way to the volcano’s edge, passing by the Mosteiros islets and the iconic 7 Cidades tunnel.
The 7CUT20 race captures the essence of the volcano, offering participants unforgettable views of lagoons, peaks, trails, islets, and the famous tunnel.
The 7CUT10 race starts at a high altitude, providing sweeping views of the 7 Cidades volcanic cone and a lagoon. This event, perfect for young participants, can be competitive for runners or enjoyed at a leisurely pace for walkers.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
May 9th - Ponta Delgada (location to be defined) - 11:00 am - 2:00 pm / 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm May 10th - Igreja das 7 Cidades (finish zone) - 6:30 am - 9:15 am It will be MANDATORY to present the following documents to collect the bib: - Citizen Card - Responsibility Term (only for minors under 18 years old) provided at secretariat.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes, the person must bring the athlete's Citizen Card, or copy, or photo.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
During the race, in the event of bad weather, and for safety reasons, the organization reserves the right to modify time barriers and/or suspend, reduce, neutralize or stop the race. There will be no right to refund.
Mandatory equipment
– Cell phone with the organization's security number, keep the phone switched on throughout the race, keep the number identifiable, and start the test with the battery fully charged. - Flashlight IMPORTANT (7CUT40 and 7CUT20 only) – Cup (cups will not be provided in the supplies) – Reservoir with water (minimum 0.5 liter). – Survival blanket - Raincoat - Whistle
Recommended equipment (depending on the weather conditions)
- It is highly recommended, for all races, to take a watch with the GPX track reading during the race. Or, at least, have an application with the GPX track on your smartphone. We recommend the OsmAnd app. Vandalism, weather conditions and other conditions can damage the race marking. – Food reserve - Hat – Buff or something similar that protects your head from low temperatures. – Second additional warm clothing: sweater with long sleeves or cuffs. – Sticks. - Sunscreen.
