Yyteri Maraton

The traditional Yyteri marathon event is organized in mid-May as usual. The flat course has been praised for being very fast. Many runners reach a PB in Yyteri! The weather is normally very good and runners can enjoy sunshine close to the sea coast.

The course is flat and very fast! The loop is the half marathon length and runs mostly on pedestrian and cycle paths. For the marathon the loop is run twice. The 10 km is run on the first part of the marathon course. The course has been planned by Jaakko Maimonen, a well-experienced marathon runner (PB 2:19) who has mostly trained in the Yyteri area in his active years.
