Join The Roof of the World Marathon
The Roof of the World Marathon is held in Tibet China. It is the highest elevation marathon in the world today. The starting point altitude is over 5,213 meters (17,103ft), which is higher than the altitude of Mt.Everest Base Camp.
Before ROWM, there were no marathons held in Tibet, therefore runners attending this event will live a once-in-a-lifetime experience and it is reserved to top runners that want to challenge themselves to the limit.
The runners would fly from Beijing to Lhasa on May 2,2021,and fly back to Beijing on May 9,2021.The race date for the 10K and half marathon is on May 6, and the full marathon is on May 8 at the different locations.

Unterkunft
The hotels are designated hotels only for the overeas tourists in Tibet.
Altersbeschränkung
Over the age of 10 and under the age of 60.And our medical doctor is with us/runners during the race.
Versorgungsstationen
Unlike the usual marathon,the cars/horses mainly carry the drinks and food for all our runners in the 42K course.
Auszeichnungen
The names of each runners would be engraved on the medals,so there is only one different medal for each different runner!
Maximale Zeit
10 hours.But most runners can finish the race in about 8 hours.
Refund Policy
If the runner can not attend the race,we would transfer the entry to the next year.

Do I need any permit to run in the Tibet?
Runners who expect to enter the Roof of the World Marathon 2021 are required to have your passports and tourist visa to China before March 31,2021.Unlike your travelling to any part of China freely,we need to have your passports and visa copies to get the special permit to Tibet. If you work in China,your working certificate issued by your company is required for the permit to Tibet
