The MTC Severn Challenge is a challenging race, but starting in 2025, it's become a bit more manageable! Say goodbye to camping, as participants now enjoy accommodations with comfy beds. The MTC Severn Challenge remains one of the most demanding races in the UK. With only about 26% of participants finishing over the last seven years, you can compare these stats to other races claiming to be "the toughest" and decide if it's for you.
Stage 1 covers 26 miles in the MTC Hafren, starting at 11:00 AM from Rhyd-y-benwych picnic area.
Stage 2 is the MTC Severn Plod Ultra, extending 47 miles, beginning at 7:30 AM.
Stage 3 involves a 59-mile trek in the MTC Severn Path Ultra, also starting at 7:30 AM.
Stage 4, the MTC Severn Way Ultra, spans 57 miles with a 7:30 AM start.
Stage 5 concludes with the MTC Bristol Severn, covering 29 miles, again starting at 7:30 AM.
The total race distance is 218 miles.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Entry fees for all URL events are NON REFUNDABLE under any circumstance. Should circumstances dictate, or in the interest of safety, the organisers reserve the right to make such changes to the published event routes as may be deemed necessary at their absolute discretion. In the event of a force majeure, we the organisers reserve the right to a) reschedule or if this is not possible b) cancel the event. This will, in all cases be a last resort. Places can be deferred to the next edition of the event (an additional cost of £15 is charged), where the event is more than four weeks away. After this point, this option is no longer available. In special circumstances, the organisers may be able to transfer names of individuals to another events, at the organisers' discretion. Transfers can be requested by email up to 4 weeks before the event. No runner is permitted to enter or participate using another persons details.

- Backpack or equivalent - Head torch with spare batteries - Ordnance Survey Map 150 (our downloadable maps are acceptable) - Compass or GPS device - Whistle - Mobile phone - Emergency food pack consisting of two chocolate bars - Basic first aid kit
