Über South Shore 'Three Beach Minimum' Half-Marathon

Welcome to the home of the South Shore “3 Beach Minimum” Half Marathon!

This is a spectacular run that starts at expansive Nantasket Beach, then follows the coastline through beautiful Cohasset and Scituate before doubling back on itself, giving you a second helping of all that gorgeous scenery. Top it all off with a beachside post-race party and what more could you ask for?

Benefitting the American Liver Foundation as well as local Cohasset, Scituate and Hull charities, this very well could be your new favorite half, and the perfect way to ease into fall!

Sounds fun, right? Check out this preview of the course and keep poking around the site to find out more…

Don’t want to make the drive that morning? Or, want to turn this into an end-of-summer weekend getaway? How about both? Consider staying at the Nantasket Beach Resort. Located right along the beach and just steps from the start/finish, this is the perfect place to post up and relieve yourself of all those pesky race logistics.

The course will have aid stations approximately every two miles, supplied with both water and lemon/lime Gatorade. Because of the out-and-back nature of the course, three aid stations will cover six different mileage points: Black Rock Beach (intersection of Jerusalem Rd. & Forest Ave., miles 2 & 11) Sandy Beach (miles 3.5 & 9.5) Cohasset Harbor Inn (miles 5 & 8)

Ample free parking is available in the DCR parking lots along the beach between [the now defunct] Beachfire restaurant and Lucky Lemons. Note that the only entrance to that entire set of lots is at the south end near Beachfire.

Nantasket Beach

Nantasket Beach, Hull,us

The 3 Beach Minimum is an incredibly picturesque route, following some of the most scenic coastline the South Shore of Massachusetts– nay, New England– has to offer.

We’ve done our share of races in New England and we’re sure this one’s going to rank right up there as one of the most beautiful you’ve ever run!

A USATF-sanctioned, out-and-back course, you’ll start at Nantasket Beach in Hull, then move quickly into Cohasset where you’ll follow the rolling hills of iconic Jerusalem Road and Atlantic Avenue while passing Black Rock, Pleasant and Sandy Beaches. A turn at the end of Atlantic Avenue brings you around beautiful Cohasset Cove, passing the Cohasset Harbor Inn and Atlantica, flowing you out to Border Street. Finally, a quiet pass through a shaded neighborhood in Scituate gets you to the furthest point of the course before you loop back and begin retracing your steps, allowing you to soak in those same views, this time from new vantage points.
